To avoid having frustrated and disappointed workers, make sure to schedule regular conversations to make sure that expectations are realistic. I know that even if a worker is not satisfied with the expectations, they will never come up to you and address the issue. Therefore, be the first one to resolve the problem; show our compassion. You are leader, so you need to lead, not force or dictate.

I have absolutely ignored this highly important strategy, while I was running my small business years ago. I lived in an illusion that greetings are all the communication that is needed. This will result in a safe environment if which your employees are comfortable expressing their opinion and debating with you on any work-related questions. Remember: communication is a key to successful team!
Offer opportunities to grow and learn
Now, think of your business in long-term. Imagine, that you will have the same team you’ve started with. Taking care of your employees is a must. If you want your business to grow, you need to highlight the importance of personal growth. What’s more, be the one to provide those opportunities. It can be a webinar or online courses or even books, anything that can help your employees to broaden their horizon and learn. If they grow and improve, the same will happen to your business. It’s a win-win strategy. Make sure to utilize it at your best.
Did you know that workplaces where trust among workers and upper management is weak tend to have less productive workdays and less effective outcomes. Trust is your greatest tool. If employees feel trusted, they have a sense of responsibility and will do their best to perform on the right level. Incorporate credibility and integrity to set the right working atmosphere. Increasing trust, you will see the boost in efficiency and productivity. Learn how to run a so-called “calm company”, and you will thank me for that!
